Diamond-Shaped Fine Silver Earrings
Handmade in Niamey, Niger
These earrings are made from Tuareg copper, together with a metal alloy consisting of copper, zinc and nickel. This alloy is strong and not likely to tarnish. Each pair is sterling silver, 2” l x 0.5” w and weigh 0.45 ounces.
Young craftspeople in Terhazer, a village near Agadez, organized to create leather handicrafts and silver jewelry. Artisans working with this group make traditional Tuareg jewelry and use the income they make to supplement their subsistence farming and other livelihoods.
